What makes our relationship so successful?

  • Communication

Communication is the bedrock of massage practice. How much pressure do you want? Are you recovering from an injury or excessive exercise? Do you have emotional trauma in a certain part or parts of your body that get triggered by touch? Do you prefer the session quiet? Do you like music? Do you like candles? Are sensitive to scents? Do you like the table heated? Do you like the air warm? Do you like the air cooler? Do you like some conversation during the massage to wind down? Has anything changed since your last massage? Please get in the habit of expressing your needs and keep these questions in mind. This massage is about you and making you comfortable. I will ask many of these questions however always feel open to interrupt your session if you need an adjustment made (use less pressure, less talking, spend more time on that part of my shoulder etc.).

  • Consistency

Consistency builds a healthy relationship and includes keeping your appointment times and always having the courtesy to cancel with at least 24 hours notice (you will be charged for any last-minute cancellations). Of course, health emergencies happen but if there is a pattern of last-minute cancellations, you are responsible for the payment of your session time. Starting on time builds healthy habits and gives us both time to transition to our next destination.

  • Care

The upmost care is used during your session. Traditionally clients undress to their comfort level. You decide on what that means to you. If you are just working on upper body tension and want to keep on garments below the waist, absolutely ok! You will always be safely covered and draped (meaning only the areas we are working on will be uncovered). Please remove rings, watches, jewelry prior to the session and longer hair should be pulled back.

I look forward to working with you!
